- Adult Winter Reading - encourages reading throughout the winter months (January through March) to earn rewards and the chance to win exciting prizes.

Timberland Reads Together is our annual one-book, one community program every October.
- Your Money is a grant-funded initiative to provide information about smart investing.
- Services for Hard Times is a grant-funded initiative to provide information about services for hard economic times, including job hunting and career information and how to apply for benefits from Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
- Ask A Librarian is our convenient telephone, email and chat reference service.
- Reference Databases are authoritative information resources for every interest.
- Internet Resources are hundreds of web sites selected by the TRL staff on a wide variety of subjects from Hobbies and Cooking to Investing and State Government.
- TRL Communities offers links to county and city resources, schools and colleges, ports and transportation, and other websites, databases and information resources about the area.
- Connect Boxes are filled with books, videos and audiotapes that can be checked out for groups that have difficulty making it into a library.
- Veterans History Project is an oral history project to collect and record the memories of American war veterans.
