Request a Hold

You can "request a hold" on an item that is checked out or not on the shelves.  Your hold request will be retained for 1 year.

Holds:  Please help the Library control expenses and keep library materials moving along to the next patron.  An item may be handled several times by Library staff in order to deliver your hold to the library where you want to pick it up.  It waits on the Hold Shelf for you for 10 days.
  • If you request a hold on an item but decide you don't need it, please Cancel your hold.
  • If you are going to be on vacation or won't be able to use the item on hold right away, please Suspend your hold.

When your requested item arrives at the library, you will be notified by telephone, email, or through the mail that it is ready for you to pickup.  The item will be held for you for 10 days.
