About the Library:

The Centralia Timberland Library was built in 1913 with a Carnegie grant obtained by the Ladies of the Roundtable. It was remodeled and expanded in 1977-78 with an Economic Development Grant to accommodate a larger collection and more services than the original 6,200 square foot building.

Features of the building include the chandelier from the old Centralia High School hanging above the main stairway, four fireplaces, and unique folk art from a craftsman who was a patron of the library. The library offers a large meeting room, quiet areas for study, and special areas for children and teens. Centralia has annexed to Timberland for its library services.
